Background

The project is proposed by by ACB (India). The company states that the first 600MW unit will be commissioned in 2016 and the second unit in 2017.

The Environmental impact assessment (EIA) was submitted in July 2012.

Since then the project has yet to receive environmental clearance, and plans appear to be abandoned.
