Skoczów-Komorowice-Oświęcim Gas Pipeline is a proposed gas pipeline in Poland.

Location

The pipeline would run through the municipalities of Skoczów, Jasienica, Bielsko-Biała, Bestwina, Wilamowice, Kęty, and Oświęcim.

Background

A positive environmental impact assessment (EIA) was issued for the pipeline in February 2015. As of 2018, the pipeline was in the design phase.

In 2019, Gaz-System anticipated obtaining a building permit in 2021.

On April 27, 2021, plans relating to the location of the pipeline were approved by the Polish government.

As of July 2022, no announcement of construction is listed on the Gaz-System webpage for the project, and the project does not feature a new date for commissioning. Instead, the pipeline is listed as being in the "engineering design" phase of its development.
