Background
The Environmental Defense Fund reports that the Swiecie Pulp Mill power station is a "combined heat and power plant supplying steam and electricity to Frantschach Swiecie SA, Poland's second largest pulp and paper producer."[4]
According to a 2014 annual report, at least one of the coal boilers has been retrofitted to run on biomass.[5]
In 2015 a new 88 MW biomass unit fueled with waste wood and paper was commissioned at the plant.[6]
