Szczecin - Lwówek to Dolna Odra Gas Pipeline is a proposed natural gas pipeline in Poland.

Location

The pipeline runs from the DN 700 MOP Szczecin - Lwówek pipeline and the planned DN 1000 MOP 8.4 MPa gas pipeline from Goleniów - Lwówek in Przywodzie to the Dolna Odra power station in Nowe Czarnowo, Gryfino, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland.

Background

In March 2020 Gaz-System and PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna signed a contract to build the pipeline and provide gas for converting the formerly coal-fired Dolna Odra power station. The pipeline will be supplied by the Świnoujście Polskie LNG Terminal which is anticipated to increase its capacity via the Baltic Pipe Project bringing gas from Norway to Poland via Denmark.

The project also includes the construction of a regulation and metering station at the point where this pipeline will connect to the Szczecin-Lwowek gas pipeline.

As of May 2021, construction is scheduled to be complete in Q3/Q4 2023. In April 2021, the West Pomeranian Voivode issued a Location Decision for the project, according to Gaz System this is one of the three key permits the company needs to begin construction. On the 22nd of March, 2022, Gaz-system announced that it had selected PORR S.A, based in Warsaw, to head the construction of the pipeline.
