Background
The 100 MW power station was planned for Târgu Jiu by Romania's Termoelectrica. In March 2013 the Ministry of Economy decided to dissolve and liquidate Termoelectrica, given the “impossibility to achieve the object of activity, respectively electricity generation."[1]
