Tavazzano power station (Tavazzano E Montanaso) is an operating power station of at least 1950-megawatts (MW) in Tavazzano, Lodi, Italy with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as Centrale di Tavazzano e Montanaso.

Background
In 2019 EP Produzione proposed replacing Unit 8 of the power plant with a new combined cycle unit. The proposals calls for the construction to take place in two phases, an 560 MW of open cycle gas turbine and then a 290 MW steam turbine.[17] According to new reports after the project is permitted,construction will take between 36 and 48 months.[17] The project was awarded environmental authorization in April 2021.[18]
