Background

Of the 4 units, only the 735 MW combined-cycle unit operates on a regular basis; units Ti4i, Ti53 and Ti54 are used only to generate during peak loads.[7]

In 2022, Bonatti International was awarded a contract for the replacement of 2 of the 4 existing open-cycle thermoelectric units with 2 new turbogas units of 150 MW each.[8]
