Background

Termogaira power station will be part of the Santa Marta energy hub and as of July 2020 was undergoing feasibility studies.[7]

As of November 2022, the Termogaira power station was still listed on the website of project developer NENCOL.[8] However, the project was removed from the website of Colombian planning agency UPME between October 2021[9] and February 2022[10], implying that the project might no longer be moving forward.
