Background

Ternivska Coal Mine is an underground coal mine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. The mine is and owned and operated by DTEK Pavlogradugol PJSC.

In 2020, the coal mines of DTEK Pavlodgradugol produced 16 million tonnes of coal in total.

In August 2023 it was reported that due to a rock collapse in the mine, one miner died and several were injured. It therefore appeared that the mine was operating at the time.
