Background
The first two coal-fired units of Tianjin Beijiang power station, totaling 2,000 MW, were brought online in 2009.[1] The plant is majority-owned by SDIC.[2]
Expansion
SDIC planned two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW,[2] which were approved for construction in December 2013.[3][4]
Units 3-4 were both commissioned in June 2018.[5][6]
