Tobruk-Alexandria Oil Pipeline was a proposed oil pipeline to run from Tobruk terminal, Libya, to Alexandria, Egypt in 2002. It is presumed to be cancelled as of 2006 due to lack of evidence for further development.[1]

Background
In 2002 Egypt and Libya officials renewed their agreement to have a 620 km crude oil pipeline built from Tobruk in Libya to Alexandria, Egypt, with a capacity of 150,000 b/d. The agreement was signed in July 1997 by then Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi Al Banbi and Libyan Energy Secretary Abdullah Salem Al Badri. It was agreed that about 125 km would be in Libyan territory and 495 km in Egypt. [2] [1]
