Background
The power station is owned by Tokuyama and the Shunan Power corporation, and is located in Shū, Yamaguchi, Chūgoku Prefecture, Japan.[1] It is located by the Tokuyama Central power station.
The power station includes a 300 MW coal- and biomass-fired power station. The proposal was also known as Tokuyama East Power Generation No. 3.[2][3]
According to the Kiko Network, the power station's new unit entered construction in 2018 and was scheduled to go online in 2022. [4]Though Unit 3 was slated to come online in April 2022, there was no news on its operation in June 2022.[5]
