Background
In August 2012, Tallgrass acquired Trailblazer pipeline from Kinder Morgan. The Trailblazer Gas Pipeline is operated by Trailblazer Pipeline Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP.[5]
In June 2022, Trailblazer Pipeline proposed to remove 392 miles of natural gas pipeline, slated for conversion to CO2 transportation, from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission jurisdiction.[6][7][8] In May 2024, Trailblazer CO2 Pipeline LLC announced a binding open season for shipments on this proposed 10 mtpa CO2 pipeline.[9]
