Tuscarawas Strip Mine

Tuscarawas Strip Mine is a surface operation in Tuscarawas, Ohio, operated by Oxford Mining and owned by Charles Ungurean.
In June 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved a Clean Water Act permit for Oxford's proposed Kaiser Mathias surface mine. EPA required changes to reduce environmental and water quality impacts and repair environmental damage caused by previous mining in the watershed.[1]
