Background
The Tutupan coal mine is an opencast mine, operated by Adaro Indonesia, a subsidiary of Adaro Group, with a capacity of 35.6 million tonnes-per-annum (MTPA) in South Kalimantan, Indonesia.[9]
The mine is adjacent to the Paringin coal mine and Wara coal mine, effectively operating as a single mine complex, producing 50 million tonnes per annum. Adaro Indonesia, a subsidiary of Adaro Group, operates the Tutupan mine.
