Background
Ugolnaya Coal Mine (Шахта Угольная) is an underground coal mine in Anadyrsky, Chukotka Region, Russia. Shakhta Ugolnaya JSC owns and operates the coal mine, it was created in 2000. The company is owned by the regional government (51%), the rest belongs to the management and city administration representatives.[3] In 2022 Chukotenergo was in the process of selling its 10% stake.[3]
