The United mine is an underground coal mine located approximately 16 kilometres west of Singleton and 80 kilometres west of Newcastle in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Ownership

United’s ownership comprises 95% Xstrata Coal Pty. Ltd. and 5% Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).
