Background

The proposed Lins power station would use either gas from Bolivia (imported via the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline) or from Brazil's onshore and offshore wells.[6] The project was listed as a participant in Brazil's A-5 national energy auction in September 2021[7] but did not emerge victorious.[8]

As of October 2023, a company website continued to list the Lins power station as an active project in the development and licensing phase.[9] However, given the absence of other news during the past two years, the project is presumed to be shelved.
