Background
The pipeline was announced in April 2023, though a feasibility report was already in progress.[2]
Sinopec notes the pipeline would carry green hydrogen produced by a wind and solar project in Ulanqab.[2] The project aims to provide an alternative to hydrogen transport from Inner Mongolia, which relies heavily on trucking.[2]
