Background
This pipeline is part of the Luxembourg national gas transmission system, owned and operated by Creos Luxembourg SA. The company was formed in 2009 with the privatization of grid operation in Luxembourg.[4]
As of June 1st, 2020 the natural gas markets of Belgium and Luxembourg were unified into a single "integrated market" with consistent prices across the two states.[5] A joint venture between Creos Luxembourg and Fluxys Belgium, Balansys, acts as the grid balancing operator.[6][7]
