Background

Wuhaogou is a LNG storage facility in Shanghai, China. The facility also has capacity to import 0.5 mtpa of LNG. The facility is owned by Shanghai Gas Group and was commissioned in 2008.

In 2013, the second phase of the LNG terminal began construction. It was completed and started operating in 2017. It includes two storage tanks woth 100,000 cubic meters each. The total LNG import capacity is 1.5 mtpa.

上海燃气（集团）有限公司，站址位于上海浦东新区曹路镇五号沟。如图，有5座LNG储罐，规模分别为：1座2万立方米、2座5万立方米、2座10万立方米。有一座5万吨级LNG专用码头，6车位槽车装车车间。

应急储备站：五号沟LNG站是上海市的天然气应急气源站，1996年开工，2000年4月投产。以东海平湖气田天然气作为气源，服务于上海天然气供应的应急和调峰。站内建有1座2万立方米储罐和1套液化装置，是国内最早的天然气液化装置和应急储备站，也是国内第一座天然气液化工厂。

一期扩建：2008年进行一期扩建，增加2座5万立方米LNG储罐、1座5万吨级专用码头和相应生产装置。2008年11月，扩建完工，并于当月接收由马来西亚船运来的LNG（船舶容量1.9万立方米）。

二期扩建：2013年由上海市发改委核准实施，投资金额约12亿元，主要建设内容包括新建2座10万立方米储罐、2台槽车装卸橇及相关设施。2017年11月27日，上海五号沟液化天然气站扩建二期工程正式竣工落成。
