Background
The two existing coal-fired units of Xuzhou Huamei power station, totaling 110 MW, were brought online in 2005. They have since been retired. The plant is owned by Xuzhou Mining Group.[1]
Description of Expansion
Xuzhou Coal Mining is developing two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 700 MW. The new units are scheduled to be completed in 2015. With the completion of the new units, the two older units will be shut down under the policy of "Big Pressure on the Small."[2][3]
The plant was completed in 2016.[4]
