The port lies on a natural estuary on the coast of the city of Yangjiang.
Background
In 2013 the port had a total cargo throughput of 21 million tonnes, mostly handling iron ore and coal.[1]
The port has one coal berth of 50,000-80,000 tonnes, with a handling capacity of 8 million tonnes. It was completed in 2010.[2]
