Yunnan Yuxi Xianfu Iron & Steel (Group) Co Ltd (云南玉溪仙福钢铁(集团)有限公司) is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Yuxi, Yunnan, China.

Background

The company's capacity replacement plan plans to build two 1350m³ blast furnaces, two 100-tonne basic oxygen furnaces and a 52-tonne alloy steel electric furnace.[1][2]The project will be built in two phases. In the first phase, a 1350m³ blast furnace and a 100-tonne basic oxygen furnace were put into operation in January 2021, [3]and the second phase started in December 2021.[4][5]

The second-phase 100-ton basic oxygen furnace (2#) was put into production in September 2022, while the 50-tonne BOF and the 60-tonne BOF have been dismantled. As of September 2022, the new No. 2 1350m3 blast furnace and a 520,000-ton alloy steel electric furnace are under construction, and it is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2023.[6][7]
