Background

The Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye oil and gas field serves as a resource base for the Yamal LNG Terminal and the Yamal megaproject.[13]

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, TotalEnergies decided to remain in the Yamal LNG venture, including this field.[14] As of January 2024, the company was retaining its stake in the project.
