Zhanazhol-Aktobe Gas Pipeline (Russian: Жанажол-Актобе, Kazakh: Жанажол-Ақтөбе) is an operating gas pipeline in Kazakhstan.[1]
Location
The pipeline runs from Zhanazhol Oil and Gas Field, Aktobe Region, to the city of Aktobe, Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan.[2]

Background
In August 2022, it was mentioned in the media that the Ministry of Energy Kazakhstan and QazaqGaz were considering construction of the Zhanazhol-Aktobe II pipeline. The cost of the project was estimated as KZT 120.3 billion.[7] However, as of August 2023, there have not been any updates about the project.
Environment and social impacts
A safety inspection by the Aktobe prosecutors revealed a number of violations of the current legislation regarding safe operations of gas pipelines in 2010.[8]
