Background on Project
Baolixiexin Company is currently planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 600 MW in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.[1][2][3][4] In 2015, the Baolixiexin Company stated that because of issues with compliance with environmental regulations, the project's approval process was slow, resulting in the power plant not being put into operation as scheduled.[5] However, as of 2021 there appear to be no further updates on these plans, and they may have been cancelled.
