Zhunge'er Suanlagou power station is a 600-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China.
An additional 1,320 MW has been proposed.
Location
The map below shows the location of Zhunge'er (Jungar) Banner, the approximate location where the plant would be built in Ordos Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Background on power station
The existing power station is a 2 x 300 MW coal plant next to the Zhunge'er (Jungar) coalfield Suancigou coal mine.[1]
Expansion
Plant owner Beijing Energy Group has proposed a stage II of two additional 660 MW coal units at the power station. The planned operation date is 2017.[2]
