Background
In 2023, Zlatna Panega Cement announced planned upgrades to the plant including an alternative fuels (AF) upgrade, to raise the plant’s substitution rate from 50% in 2022 to 70%. Additionally, the company announced construction of a solar power plant at the facility to be commissioned in March 2024.
