Background
Zuari Cement's Yerraguntla Plant, located in Andhra Pradesh, India, was established in 1985. The plant has undergone multiple expansions, with its current production capacity reaching 4.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).[1]
In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, Zuari Cement has implemented advanced pollution control equipment, including electrostatic precipitators in the kiln, raw mills, coal mills, and cement mills, to minimize dust emissions. Additionally, the plant has installed a 20-tonne-per-hour alternative fuel production line, featuring an UNTHA XR3000C shredder, to process various waste materials into refuse-derived fuel (RDF), thereby reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels.[2]
