Background
Abul Khair Steel began its operations as a downstream steel production facility, manufacturing corrugated galvanised steel sheets in 1993 and rebars in 2009. The Sitakund steel plant was established in 2015 with two electric arc furnaces with a combined capacity of 1400 thousand tonnes per annum.[1][2]
