Background

Construction of the plant was initially announced in 2022, but the project was delayed due to insufficient technical conditions for connecting to the gas pipeline network. In early 2024, it was reported that construction efforts had resumed. Aktobe Generatsiya stated that they were working with potential equipment and energy resource suppliers, as well as addressing key technical and economic factors. The construction of the plant is expected to commence in 2025.[1][2]
