Al Ittefaq Arab Steel Dammam plant (حديد الإتفاق, الشركة العريبة للحديد), also known as ISPC, Arab Steel, ASCO, is a steel plant in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia that operates direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The Al Ittefaq Arab Steel Dammam plant is owned by Al-Ittefaq Steel, the largest private sector steel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia. Its production facilities delivers reinforced steel bars, billets, DRI, and downstream steel products.[1] The plant began operating in 1989 with a direct reduced iron (DRI) plant and electric arc furnace (EAF) plant as well. Little recent news or information on the plant is available; no environmental noncompliance or safety incidents have occurred at Al Ittefaq steel Dammam plant in recent years.
