Almaty-Taldykorgan Gas Pipeline (Russian: МГ Алматы-Талдыкорган, Kazakh: Алматы-Талдықорған МГҚ) is an operating gas pipeline in Kazakhstan.

Background

The construction of the Almaty-Taldykorgan gas pipeline and automatic gas distribution station was carried out on behalf of the Head of State and was under the personal control of the akim (governor) of the Almaty region. The pipeline connects to the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline (A, B, C) and the Bukhara-Tashkent-Bishkek-Almaty Gas Pipeline. In October 2022, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave an order to build another segment of the pipeline to Usharal (Taldykorgan-Usharal Gas Pipeline) by 2025 in order provide residents of the Jetisu Region with gas. The construction will begin in the second half of 2024. Once built, the pipeline will become part of the Almaty-Taldykorgan gas transmission system.
