Anhui Langxi Hongtai Iron and Steel Co Ltd (安徽省郎溪县鸿泰钢铁有限公司) is a steel plant in Xuancheng, Anhui, China that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
In 2018, the company announced the capacity replacement program for electric arc furnace construction project, which stated to withdraw two 70-ton electric arc furnaces and two 70-ton refining furnaces and construct one 128-ton electric arc furnace and one 128-ton refining furnace.[1]
On January 14, 2022, during the pre-commissioning assessment of the electric arc furnace project, after reviewing the information and on-site field verification, two 70-ton electric arc furnaces and two 70-ton refining furnaces have been shut down, transformers and electrodes have been removed, and the main equipment has been sealed, and the newly constructed one 128-ton electric arc furnace and one 128-ton refining furnace have their numbers, models, specifications and other information measured on-site, although they are the same as those in the drawings, but the furnace type The actual average steel output is 130 tons. In view of the new project capacity and replacement program is inconsistent, the project was ordered to rectify, rectification is not in place before the construction project shall not be put into operation.[2]
The "Electric arc furnace optimization and upgrading transformation project capacity replacement change plan" was announced on March 2022, which conversed of 128-ton electric arc and refining furnaces to 130-ton, respectively.And the new electric arc furnace(130-tonne) was put into production in March 2022[2][3]
The company exited two 70-ton electric arc furnaces with a capacity of 1.1 million tons, of which 1 million tons have been replaced and used, and the remaining 100,000 tons were publicly offered for sale.[4]
