ArcelorMittal Kraków steel plant (Oddział w Krakowie), also known as ArcelorMittal Poland S.A. Oddział Kraków, Huta Sendzimira (predecessor), Tadeusz Sendzimir Steelworks (predecessor), Vladimir Lenin Steelworks (predecessor), is a steel plant in Kraków, Lesser Poland, Poland that operates blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) technology.

Background

In October 2020, ArcelorMittal Poland announced a plan to close the ArcelorMittal Krakow steel plant permanently, citing the Covid-19 pandemic as a main factor in their decision.[1] ArcelorMittal plans to move production to ArcelorMittal Dąbrowa Górnicza steel plant.[1]
