Century Steel Khyber plant is a steel plant in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan that operates steelmaking and ironmaking technology.

Background
Fuzhou Julitaihe International Company of China is building the Century Steel Ltd plant in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone, Pakistan. The plant is expected to have a capacity of 1.5 mtpa and is being constructed in three phases with with the first phase expected to be operational in 2023 with an initial capacity of 500 ttpa.[1] The first phase was inaugurated in July 2023.[2] Over US $30 million out of the US $82 million invested in the project's first phase was already underway, but the project was facing multiple hurdles and delays.[3]
In November 2024, in a letter, Century Steel Group CEO Li Chunjian stated the company had reached the decision to wrap up its business and withdraw investment from the country as the government departments, responsible for handling foreign direct investment (FDI) in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Rashakai Special Economic Zone (RSEZ) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, failed to resolve multitude of their problems.[4][5]
