Background
As of December 2019, the LNG database published by GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe) listed the Frederikshavn LNG Terminal as a small LNG import terminal under development by Gasnor AS, with an anticipated capacity of 0.05 mtpa per year.[2] As of 2021, the project was actually identified to be a small bio-LNG production plant. Construction of the plant began in 2022.[3]
