Gansu Jiu Steel Group Hongxing Iron and Steel Co Ltd (甘肃酒钢集团宏兴钢铁股份有限公司) is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) and electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Jiayuguan, Gansu, China.

Background

This plant is the headquarters production base of Jiuquan Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., which also goes by JISCO.

The company plans to build a 2070m3 BF in 2022 to replace four 450m3 blast furnace. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2024.[1]

June 25, 2024 the company's 2070m3 BF hot blast furnace successful ignition, marking the new BF put into operation officially into the countdown.[2]
