Background
The company's Phase 1 project has been fully put into operation. The existing main production equipment and facilities include one mechanized raw material yard, two 360m² sintering machines, two 760m² belt-type pelletizing roasting machines, four 600t/d lime kilns, three 2922m³ blast furnaces, one 200t dephosphorization furnace, three 100-ton converters, two 200-ton converters, one 2050mm hot rolling production line, two high-speed wire production lines, one high bar production line, one medium bar production line, one structural steel production line, and related supporting facilities.
In December 2021, the company decided to implement the Phase 2 project in two parts. The first part involves the construction of one 3200 cubic meters blast furnace, one 230-ton converter, one 500 square meters belt-type sintering machine, two lime kilns, one dolomite kiln, and one 1580mm hot-rolled strip steel production line. The second part includes the construction of two 120-ton electric furnaces, two ESP hot-rolled production lines, two hot dip galvanizing production lines using thermal basic acid process, and one 1550mm cold-rolled production line.[1]
During the construction of the first part, environmental protection acceptance was conducted in three phases according to the construction progress. The first phase has been completed in April 2024, primarily including the construction of one lime kiln (Kiln No. 8) and its associated pre-kiln storage, the lime processing operations (comprising one desulfurizer production line, two finished product crushing lines, and three hydrated lime production lines), as well as a 1600 mm twin-stream slab caster and its supporting facilities.[2]
