Hebei Puyang Iron and Steel Co Ltd (河北普阳冶金铸造有限公司, 河北普阳钢铁集团有限公司, 河北新武安钢铁集团普阳钢铁有限公司, 河北普阳钢铁有限公司), also known as Hebei Puyang Metallurgical Casting Co., Ltd., Hebei Puyang Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., Hebei Xinwu'an Iron and Steel Group Puyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Handan, Hebei, China that operates blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) technology.

Background

In 2020, it started to build 1 BF (1x1580m3), BOF (1x140-tonne), producing 1.37 million tons of molten iron and 1.5167 million tons of crude steel.[1][2][3]

In December 2021, the company will start to build a blast furnace (1x1580m3), a BOF (1x120-tonne) and an electric arc furnace (100-tonne) with replacement of two 1050m3 blast furnace. It is planned to be put into operation in December 2023[4]

The 120-ton BOF was completed in June 2024.[5]
