Hebei Taihang Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd (河北太行钢铁集团有限公司(二期 1200高炉)) is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Handan, Hebei, China.

Background
The total investment of Taihang Iron & Steel’s retreat from the city to the park project totaled 20.9 billion yuan to build 6 million tons of iron and steel projects, including two 1,520m3 blast furnaces, 2.68 million tons of iron-making capacity, two 120-ton converters, and 2.8 million tons of steel-making capacity in the first phase.[1]
On February 20, 2021, No. 1 blast furnace was put into production.[2] The first phase of the project were completed and put into production in September 2021.[3]
The second phase of the company's reorganization and relocation project plans to build a 1200m3 blast furnace and a 100-ton converter, and the construction started in September 2022.[4][5]
The company is a flagship enterprise for relocating steel production from urban areas to industrial parks. At present, the main facilities have been successfully completed and put into operation, marking the completion of the Taihang Steel urban relocation project with a total investment of 21 billion yuan.[6]
