Hebei Xin Wu'an Steel Group Wen'an Iron and Steel Co Ltd (河北新武安钢铁集团文安钢铁有限公司), also known as Wu'an Wen'an Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.(河北文安钢铁集团有限公司), is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating pre-retirement in Handan, Hebei, China.

Background

The company plans to retreat from the city to Wu'an Industrial Park at the end of 2023, eliminate existing equipment, and build a 1430m3 blast furnace and a 120-ton Basic Oxygen Furnace.[1]

On the morning of February 28, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the capacity reduction and upgrade project of Wen'an Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., part of Hebei Xinwu'an Iron & Steel Group. This project focuses on the production of high-quality specialty steel.[2]
