Hebei Xinjin Iron and Steel Co Ltd (河北新金钢铁有限公司), also known as Hebei Xin Wu'an Steel Group Xinjin Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Handan, Hebei, China.

Background

After Xinjin Iron and Steel dismantled the original No. 2 blast furnace in 2021, without obtaining the relevant approval procedures such as energy assessment and environmental impact assessment, it illegally started construction of a new 1260m3 blast furnace involving a production capacity of 1.16 million tons. [1] This illegally built BF has removed in 2022.[2]
