Hebei Xinwuan Iron and Steel Group Xinhui Metallurgy Co Ltd (河北新武安钢铁集团鑫汇冶金有限公司, 武安市鑫汇冶金工业有限公司), also known as Wu'an Xinhui Metallurgical Industry Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Handan, Hebei, China that operates blast furnace (BF), basic oxygen furnace (BOF), and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The company plans to withdraw from the existing long-process steel production capacity, including one 10m2 shaft furnace, two 130m2 sintering plants, one 1080m3 blast furnace and one 460m3 blast furnace, and the equivalent replacement of a new 110-ton electric arc furnace and one 100-ton electric arc furnace.[1][2] The project started in 2020, and in December 2021, the main part of the first phase of the electric furnace was completed.[3][4]

In November 2021, the two Blast Furnaces(460m3, 1080m3) and one basic oxygen furnace(55-tonne) were removed.[5]
