Hebei Yanshan Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd (唐山燕山钢铁有限公司, 河北燕山钢铁集团有限公司), also known as Qian'an Liangang Yanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Tangshan Great Wall Iron and Steel Group Yanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Hebei Iron and Steel Group Yanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., is a steel plant in Tangshan, Hebei, China that operates blast furnace (BF), basic oxygen furnace (BOF), and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

The company obtained approval in March 2020 to build a project with an annual output of 1.05 million tons of molten iron and 750,000 tons of molten steel, including one 1,250m3 blast furnace and one 100 tons electric furnace to eliminate the existing two 450m3 of blast furnace and one 50 tons of electric furnace in the plant. [1]

The 1250m³ blast furnaces project was put into production on May 10, 2018.[2]And 2*450m³ blast furnaces were demolished.[3]

On June 17, 2021, the 100-ton electric furnace project of Tangshan Yanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. successfully conducted a hot test.[4]
