Background

Ittehad Steel was established in 1978 with the Islamabad plant with a capacity of 40 ttpa. The installation of the Faisalabad plant in 2013 brought the total steel production capacity of the company to 400 ttpa. According to OED steelmaking capacity developments 2022, the expansion of the plant by addition of induction furnace(s) with a capacity of 600 ttpa in underway.
