  • Coordinates (WGS 84): 34.465222, 133.431205 (exact)

Background

The Fukuyama Works was established in October 1965.[1]

JFE Steel announced that it had achieved a fuel consumption reduction effect of approximately 5% and a CO2 emission reduction effect of 6600 t/y at the coke ovens at West Japan Works (Fukuyama) by applying a “Combustion optimization technology for individual spaces in coke ovens” based on equipment design utilizing digital twin technology.[2]

Starting in FY2030 and beyond, blast furnaces 5, 4, and 3 are expected to undergo refurbishment.[3]
