JSPL Asanboni Steel Plant is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) announced steel plant in Asanboni, Jharkhand, India.

Background
In 2005, JSPL announced its plan to set up a 6000 ttpa steel plant in phases at Asanboni, Jharkhand, India, the public hearing of which was held on 08 March 2014.[1][2][3] The plant required an investment of INR 22,000 crores and about 1,400 acres of land.[4] The company ran into land acquisition problems.[2] As of March 2014, the company said the project was still on and were expecting commissioning in 2019.[5] As of December 2023, there has been no further updates on the project.
