Beijing Jianlong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. commonly known as Jianlong Group, is a private-owned iron and steel company headquartered in Tangshan, Hebei province, China. It is a large enterprise group integrating new industries such as resources, steel, shipbuilding and electromechanical. [1]
History
The company was established in the year 2000, from near-bankrupt predecessor Zunhua Steel.[2]
Climate Commitments
On March 10, 2022, Jianlong Group released its "Green and low-carbon development roadmap for the steel sector" for achieving a carbon peak by 2025 and carbon neutrality by 2060. The company plans to reduce carbon emissions by 20 percent by 2033, compared with 2025. It also aims to reduce average carbon intensity by 25 percent, compared with 2020.[3]
